9:00-9:15: Morning Meeting
9:15-11:30: Tennis Camp activities
11:30-12:00: Lunch (must pack)
12:00-12:20: Tennis Camp pick up, check out (*Applies for half day tennis camp only students.); Learning Camp begins
12:00-1:00: Reading, Writing
1:00-2:00: Math
2:00-2:45: Arts & Crafts
2:45-3:30: Korean
3:30-3:40: Snack break
3:40-4:00: Learning Camp pick up, check out
4:00-5:00: After Care (*Requires an additional fee - please notify beforehand if needed.)
Students MUST be picked up by 4:00pm.
Late pick up is $3/child/minute. (Unless After Care)
Important Information:
Lunch is not provided, please make sure to pack enough snacks and food for your camper.
Korean class will be split into different levels. If you would not like your camper to participate, please let us know.
If there is inclement weather, tennis will still continue under a large covered patio at PRHS or will be an indoor activity.
If you must check out your camper early, you must notify us a day before.
There will be no refunds or replacement dates for missed dates.
Every Friday is fun day for tennis, this means fun water activities, bouncy houses, snow cones, and more!
What will my camper be learning during tennis camp?
Big Hit Summer Tennis Camp coaches are professionally trained and background checked with experience working with a wide range of ages and skill sets. Our coaches are committed to embodying challenging yet enjoyable and fun tennis instruction through physical education and the technical sport of tennis.
During Tennis Camp, students are differentiated by skill level from learning the basic strokes all the way to learning how to rally and play matches. Our coaches follow United States Tennis Association (USTA) rules, regulations, and expectations to support and guide campers in growing a passion for the sport of a lifetime, tennis!
What will my camper be learning during learning camp?
Big Hit Summer Learning Camp teachers are each certified and active State of Georgia educators under Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) with over 15 years of experience combined. Our teachers are dedicated to cultivating positive learning environments through high-quality teaching, equitable whole group instruction, and differentiated small group work.
During Learning Camp, students will review current end-of-the-year material and transition into an introduction of rising beginning-of-the-year material. Our teachers utilize a combination of instructional resources and materials aligning with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and Gwinnett County’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS).
*For families looking for an intensive academic preparatory summer program, this may not be the best fit program for your student.
